Questions Are Being Asked About Fire At Landfill Site!

Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai wrote to the Secretary of the Forest and Environment Department on Monday, seeking a detailed report on the fire at the Ghazipur landfill within 48 hours.

In the letter, Rai asked the official to submit a report explaining the reason behind the fire and what steps are being taken by different agencies to control it.

He said that steps should be taken to control the fire immediately, keeping the air pollution and people's health in mind.

The minister questioned whether the guidelines issued after previous fire incidents had been implemented and sought an action report on it.
