Universal Notice

Sometimes I like the idea of a higher power.

There are so many interesting theories out there; Gods, universal consciousness, cosmic force…

It’s funny, because I’d say that 99% of the time, I see zero evidence something like any of those exist. There’s war, famine, childhood cancer, domestic abuse… I could go on and on, but you get the picture.

Some folks like to dismiss those sticking points with nonsensical talk. They’ll say, “Karma,” or “Original sin,” or “Freewill.”Which is all silly.

I think life is, sadly, random.

But I do question that belief, especially when the random event is seemingly too random.

Every so often, I’ll have an extremely personal event that makes me think that something, somewhere out there, is nudging me.

I’ll have my moment, and then slip back into my hedonistic ways.

Maybe someday, something big enough to shock me into finally choosing a side will take place.

I doubt it, but maybe.

Until then, I’m probably 98% atheist, 2% agnostic.
