Senator Shannon Grove from California's 12th State Senatorial district introduced a bill titled SB 1414 Grove that would make soliciting a minor for sex and/or agreeing to engage or engaging in any form of commercial sex with a child a felony offense with a sex offender registry required for repeat offenders 🙄 Of course democrats from the public safety committee amended the bill to exempt teens that are 16 and 17 year old from the full penalties and reduces the punishment from two years in prison to only up to a year in county jail for a first offense 😧 Senator Scott Wiener who is against the bill said he fears it could target the wrong people by punishing young adults in consensual relationships with minors 😠 Any Senator that does not want to protect children from being sold for sex needs to be removed from office and possibly investigated 😡
