New bill set to give US National Security Agency unprecedented powers

The US National Security Agency (NSA) is getting close to expanding its surveillance powers, according to a new bill that is now headed to the Senate. The proposed legislation would widen the current list of providers obliged to send the NSA all the information required on the agency's targets and could include any company or individual providing internet-related services.
