CPTSD can be life changing and greatly affect mental health, state of wellbeing and quality of life if left unresolved. In many ways it is similar to PTSD but, since it is relatively new and there haven’t been many case studies to date, it can be difficult for practitioners to diagnose. The ‘C’ stands for complex, or some say childhood. Both seem fitting.
