UAE received record - breaking rainfall yesterday, highest in 75 years with 254 mm rain in 24 hrs. It's not that I have never experienced heavy rain in last 15 years, but what I witness last night was completely horrific.

Here are few 'first time in 15yrs'

1- Heavy to very heavy rain for non-stop 24 hrs

2- Residents are without electricity and water since last evening in few parts of UAE

3- 90 percent roads are flooded

4- Called as the lifelines of UAE, SZR and Al Khail are blocked

5- Itihad road ( lifeline for Dubai and Sharjah residents) is empty, probably after Covid.

6- Metro is not operational since yesterday bringing the normal life to standstill

7- Many restaurants are either closed or not providing home delivery

8- Residents have walked whole night to reach home. ( few of them have walked 50kms)

9- Car owners have left cars on the roads, many are sub-merged.

10- We experienced night at 3pm yesterday.

Rain has battered UAE completely. Perhaps we underestimated rain this time. Hope we all get back to normalcy soon. Posting few videos for your reference. I have taken few an dfew are from social media.
