Hair: A Barometer For What Is Happening In Your Body

On Monday February 5, Caroline Ruggiero discussed how hair, the fastest growing tissue on the body, is often the first sign of a deficiency, hormonal change/imbalance, or more serious disorder. This ‘non-essential’ tissue is often ignored by mainstream medicine, and hair loss is regarded as normal, or temporary, with few clinically proven solutions. Even with complicated autoimmune hair and scalp disorders, since hair loss is not life threatening, it's difficult to receive a timely or accurate diagnosis. People are left feeling abandoned and resort to ‘Dr. Google’. Hair (and the lack of it) is closely connected to our physical and emotional well-being. By identifying the ‘root-cause’ of the issue with a trained professional, most ongoing hair and scalp issues can be resolved.

You Will Learn:
- What is ‘normal’ hair loss vs. when you should seek professional help
- How do you identify the underlying cause of hair loss and what are the best solutions
- Which deficiencies have the greatest impact on hair and what supplements are a priority
- The most common scalp disorders and what do they tell us about your health
- The difference between a Dermatologist and Trichologist
