Egyptian-American actor Luke Dimyan has become known the world over for his portrayal of Judas Iscariot in the global phenomena, 'The Chosen.'

The grandson of a Coptic Orthodox priest, who was unjustly jailed as a form of religious persecution in Egypt. Through his family's immigration to the United States, the American born Dimyan became inspired by the Jim Carrey classic, 'The Mask' in order to become a performer...something not always heavily approved of in SWANA cultures, but was a career blessed by his parents.

As we quickly approach Pascha (Greek for Passover or Easter in Western cultures) on the Julian Calendar, we spoke with Dimyan about portraying the most hated man in history, what it's like working with Jonathan Roumie and what it will be like attending Paschal services with an entire liturgy (mass for the West) dedicated to how heinous Judas Iscariot was, while all eyes are on him at his local parish.

All four seasons of 'The Chosen' are streaming on The Chosen App and you can follow Luke Dimyan on Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/dimwitted_dimyan/
