On Monday January 9, 2023, Dr. David Duizer reviewed conventional, functional and alternative biological markers used in the assessment of cardiovascular health. From a holistic perspective each lab will be reviewed for clinical relevance.

As the number one cause of mortality in Canada, atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) has the attention of health care providers working in disease prevention. With little-to-no subjective warning signs the approach to lab evaluation must be holistic, comprehensive, and evidence-based.

Dr. David Duizer BSc, ND, CSCS, rmc

Dr. David Duizer is the co-owner of Noble Naturopathic, an integrated clinic in Vancouver, BC. In addition to his role as a primary care provider at Noble Dr. Duizer also works as Medical Director at DAMY Health, an online holistic weight loss program and at Noble by Nature, his personal supplement line. His clinical focus is chronic disease management and integrative cancer care. He completed his Bachelor of Science at the Royal Military College of Canada, is a graduate of the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach.
