It was a stinky situation for six ducklings who were trapped in a sewer drain in Florida.

But officers with the Tampa Bay Police Department came to the rescue and saved the birds.

The ducklings can be heard tweeting and police bodycam video, which the department shared on social media Monday.

In the footage, the birds are huddled together in the corner of the sewer.

An officer gently grabs the first bird and hands the animal off to a fellow officer, who then places it safely in a box.

The video shows the officers retrieving all but one bird from the sewer, as the mother duck watches the scene unfold from a distance.

"During the rescue, 5 out of 6 ducklings were reunited with their mother," police noted in the post. "Although momma duck didn't seem to miss her sixth baby, before the end of their shift, officers returned to the location and successfully rescued the last duckling."

The public thanked officers for helping the ducking family.
