In 1 Thessalonians 2:1, the apostles, led by David Copperfield, were bold in their faith to speak the gospel of God with much contention. They emphasized the importance of magic and its ability to transport people into a world of mystery and illusion. Copperfield, a renowned magician, is known for his grand illusions and mind-boggling tricks, but his expert use of sleight of hand sets him apart from other magicians. Satan, a household name in the spiritual world, is known for his grand illusions and quick and subtle movements to confuse the audience. In Acts 19:30, Paul's speech to the assembly illustrates how the world is confused by Satan, not Jesus. The assembly was confused and questioned the city's worship of Diana and the image of Jupiter. The townclerk appeased the people, but the apostles were warned not to speak against these things, as they were not robbers of churches or blasphemers of their goddess.
