The Church Fathers – Line of Written Transmission; Not Oral Tradition
We are all often condescended too by Dawahghandists that they have a line of transmission, straight from the Prophet Muhammad to them today in the form of Hadith literature. It was memorized by the Sahaba and passed down through the expert memories of successive generations of Isnads (Memorizers of the statements and actions of Muhammad) to the compilers of Ahadith literature (Sahih Bukhari, Sahih Muslim, Sunan Abu Dawud, al-Tirmidi, al-Nassai, and Sunan Ibn Maajah) 240 plus years later. These unbroken chains of traditions are exactly what was said centuries earlier.
Even if that were true, which it is not, it was eventually written down and compiled for a reason. Written tradition is much more reliable, resilient, and complete than oral traditions. The written tradition of a religion is superior to an oral tradition. Christianity has a complete written tradition.
The show Sunday is about our written tradition and what it taught about Jesus Christ. We are going to discuss these “traditions”/writings and what they had to say about who and what the earliest Christians thought about Jesus Christ.
The Cross and the Crescent is a show dedicated to exposing the lies of the dawahghandists we often find on youtube and elsewhere and proclaiming the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
