he global power struggle between the United States and Russia is expanding into space. The US government is loudly saying that it wants to prevent the militarization of space. A corresponding non-proliferation treaty for the stationing of nuclear weapons in space was submitted to the UN Security Council. But Russia refuses to agree. Former US intelligence analyst and UN weapons inspector Scott Ritter puts it this way: "There is no doubt that the United States itself not only seeks to militarize space, but has already militarized space." Ritter is talking about the global network of US satellites on which all NATO countries' military operations are based. According to Ritter, this dependence is also the West's Achilles heel: "An electromagnetic pulse weapon in space blinds the United States and NATO. Boom, boom, everything is gone. We are blind. The lights go out and we don't know how should fight in the dark". The real reason for US intentions is Washington's fear of Russian space weapons. Because then the USA would no longer have an advantage on its side. Ritter emphasizes: "Russia is now so far ahead of the United States in terms of ballistic missiles that the United States can no longer catch up." We also spoke with Scott Ritter about the pending Iranian retaliatory attacks on Israel, about possible US involvement in the terrorist attacks on Moscow, about the Islamic State and its covert supporters in the West, and about the global decline in respect for international law. Ritter sums up: "If Israel violates international law every day and gets away with it, and if the USA and its allies in NATO and the EU, which promote the rules-based world order, also violate international law every day... What do we expect from the rest of the world ? [...] International law has become meaningless."
