Flooding in Russia 2024

Orsk and Orenburg found themselves in the crosshairs of a large-scale natural disaster - flooding. Heavy rains and increased water levels in the rivers caused catastrophic flooding,
paralyzing the city's infrastructure and leading to the evacuation of residents.
The extent of damage and losses cannot yet be fully assessed. Community initiatives have begun mobilizing humanitarian aid for those who have lost their homes and property.
However, beyond the immediate response to the disaster, questions are being raised about the environmental consequences and the need to take measures to prevent similar situations in the future.
