JULIAN ASSANGE Five years in Belmarsh on Morning Rise 12th April 2024. Julian Assange, founder of Wikileaks, had been in the Ecuadorean embassy since 2012, after seeking asylum until five years ago, where upon Julian Assange was arrested and taken from the Ecuadorian embassy on the 11th April 2019 to Belmarsh maximum security prison in London where he remains today.
The US Justice Department are seeking to extradite Julian Assange where he could face 175 years in prison.
