The last night of existence for the legendary Tropicana Las Vegas' casino floor & under its famous, original stained glass ceiling. At 3am, 4/2/2024, the gambling stopped and at noon, doors locked for the first time since before its grand opening in 1957. Last of the original Strip Golden Era hotel casinos, it is scheduled for demolition in October, 2024, to make way for a planned baseball stadium for the MLB Oakland (Las Vegas) A's planned to be ready for opening day, 2028. Memories include a skimming operation overseen by infamous mobster Frank Costello, 'Folies Bergere', the topless showgirl review which still holds the record for the longest running Las Vegas show, 50 consecutive years, and world class, Golden Age entertainment and comedy. 4/2/2024.
