AOC Supports Stealing From Poor - Giving to Rich

AOC praises Biden's college student loan forgiveness, stating these students can now buy homes, have children, travel abroad... or even go back to school, incurring more student loan debt that they likely hope will also be "forgiven."

Up until Obama became president, college loans were financed by banks, just as banks make loans for houses, cars, businesses, etc., though college loans had low interest rates. In 2010, Obama did away with that program and nationalized the student loan program, putting it under complete federal government control. Per the Constitution, the federal government has no authority to be involved in education or student loans. In fact, in June 2023, the Supreme Court ruled against Biden's student debt forgiveness. Biden chose to ignore the ruling and do as he desired.

Colleges and universities, especially those at the "elite" level, knew the government would cover any student loan defaults and quickly began raising tuition rates, as well as the cost of books and dorm rooms. The federal government made no effort to put a cap on the rising cost of a college education, allowing it to explode out of control. Today, the federally-controlled student debt loan has reached more than $1.2 trillion.

Biden's student debt loan is not about those struggling at the lower end of the income levels. The forgiveness applies to individuals making as much as $125,000 a year and married couples making as much as $250,000 a year. And yet, roughly 60% of Americans have not gone to college, either because they couldn't afford it, or had no interest. As of 2022, this is the average lifetime earnings of full-time workers by level of education:

less than high school - $1.2 million
high school diploma - $1.6 million
some college, but no degree - $1.9 million, equal to about $47,500 annually
associate’s degree - $2 million, or about $50,000 per year
bachelor’s degree - $2.8 million, the equivalent of $70,000 annually
master’s degree - $3.2 million, or $80,000 annually
doctoral degree - $4 million, equal to $100,000 per year
professional degree - $4.7 million, or an average of $117,500 annually

There is no such thing as "student debt loan forgiveness". It is simply taking a debt a person took of their own free will, and forcing every other American citizen to pay it via taxes. Those who chose to take college loans of their own free will, are the same people who will earn millions more over the course of their life and be in a better position to pay their loans. These people see no problem in foisting their debts onto those without college degrees and who make much less... that is called slavery.

Those who are in the upper levels of the income brackets are more than able to pay their student loan debts AND still by a house, have a family and travel. However, under Biden, those debts will now be forced onto those in the lower income brackets, and they will find it even more difficult to buy a house, while those in the upper income brackets will now be able to afford an even nicer house.

During her first primary, AOC presented herself as a waitress and bartender. While that was her job at the time, AOC withheld the information that she grew up in New York City in a wealthy suburb, Yorktown Heights. She graduated from a mostly white high school with a student-to-teacher ratio of 12 to 1. Per test scores, 99% of the students are proficient in math and 85% in reading. Clearly, AOC had opportunities most American kids can only dream of, and she graduated from college with a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations and Economics. No information has been provided to explain why she was working as a bartender and waitress after graduating from college.

Biden's student debt "forgiveness" is simply vote-buying, which is why it includes individuals making up to $125,000 per year and married couples making up to $250,000. That gives Biden a larger group of people to "persuade" to vote for him in the upcoming Nov. 2024 election. We must then ask ourselves, will Biden and the Democrats choose to "forgive" mortgages purchased at the current 7% mortgage rate, especially since those who bought a home in December 2020 under President Trump got a 2.66% mortgage rate.

Biden is also using federal taxes to pay college students to register voters. This directly violates the Hatch Act, which prevents government employees participating in the federal election process during working hours.

The Founding Fathers wrote the Constitution to strictly limit the authority of the federal government with a specific list of responsibilities. Everything else belongs to the States and People. Neither education, nor student loans are in the list in the Constitution. Registering voters is also not on the list of duties of the federal government. It is beyond abusive for the federal government to take OUR hard-earned tax money and use it for their personal political benefit.
