The Solar Eclipse of 8 April 2024 to 90% and back.

It was forecast to be cloudy for the eclipse, but the weather was clear, so I setup my Celestron 8" SMT with a solar filter in place. I 1st used a 25mm eyepiece but switched to a 40mm to get the whole of the sun into the eyepiece. I used a new cellphone eyepiece mount for the 1st time. It worked well but it's difficult to get the lens and the eyepiece lined up. I got some good shots of sunspots getting eclipsed by the moon. The clouds moved in thicker and thicker until the eclipse was almost completed. Then the sun went away for good behind the clouds. Almost perfect timing.
