Man’s suicide by snake after making his deadly cobra bite him

After authorities discovered his illegal importation of exotic animals, Marius Joubert, a 28-year-old security guard in South Africa, chose a tragic end to his troubles.

Facing potential long-term imprisonment for his illicit activities, Joubert opted to have his own snakes bite him, leading to his agonizing death.

During a police search of his home in Hennenman, officers found over 60 snakes, along with other exotic creatures.

Joubert deliberately provoked the snakes into biting him, resulting in lethal venom entering his system.

Despite efforts to save him, including hurried hospital treatment, the lack of appropriate antivenom led to his demise, the Mirror reported.
