Bluebeard is a 1944 film noir directed by Edgar G. Ulmer, starring John Carradine in the title role.[2] The film also stars Jean Parker. The film is based on the famous French tale Barbe bleue[3] that tells the story of a violent nobleman in the habit of murdering his wives and the attempts of one wife to avoid the fate of her predecessors. The film is registered in the public domain.
