Girl has lucky escape as crane smashes into house

A little girl in the UK had the nearest of near misses on Saturday, with the entire horrifying incident caught on a doorbell camera. Footage from the doorbell cam shows the girl playing in the front yard, while a huge crane sways precariously just a few meters away. The girl’s mother can be heard yelling at her to run back inside, just before the lorry carrying the crane topples over, sending the crane and its cargo crashing straight into the yard, smashing into the house.

No one was injured in the ordeal, although the crane smashed through a bedroom wall and left itself embedded in the house. High winds from an ongoing storm is thought to have played a role in the freak accident, and the family are now being taken care of by local authorities.
