Pyre Vine is a member of the Pepper-Mint family.
Pyre Vine costs 125 Sun. (-25 Sun at levels 3, 6 and 9.)
Pyre Vine's flame does 30 damage. (+20 at level 2. +10 from levels 3-10.)
Pyre Vine's flame extends for two (2) tiles. (+1 tile at levels 3, 6 and 9.)
Pyre Vine has a warming effect. This warming effect does 200 damage. (+100 damage at levels 2, 5 and 7.)
Pyre Vine can not be frozen.
Any plant inside of Pyre Vine can not be frozen.

Commentary:
Frostbite Caves is an area where some players have difficulty. It's not because the levels are particularly difficult but the level's mechanic - freezing winds - does not have a reliable core counter. Hot Potato only works on one plant. Jalapeño has a long recharge. Pepper-pult and Torchwood can take a long time to thaw a frozen plant. Enter Pyre Vine.

The ability to never be frozen literally can save a level. How many times has a chicken or weasel hit the house because all the plants were frozen and no ice melting option was available? It's happened to us way too many times.

Bottom Line:
Outside of Frostbite Caves, Pyre Vine is average. The damage is a little less than you would like. The cost is a little more than you would like. But in the end, this is a specialty plant - made to counter Freezing Winds and snowballs thrown by Hunter zombies. To get this ability in a vine makes this a nice specialty plant to obtain.
