Army Officer, William RUSSELL, fought in the Revolutionary War's Battle of Yorktown which brought an end to the Conflict with Great Britain. Russell attempted to establish the Kentucky Territory. D'Angelo Russell born in Louisville, Kentucky.

Cicadas during the Revolutionary War-
General George Washington (later President) commanded the attack & removal of 6 Native American Tribes from their Lands (which spanned New York State to the Great Lakes of Michigan). The land had been set aside for Natives in 1763.

When "Colonizers" began moving onto the Natives' Lands, the Natives removed them. This angered George Washington, who then ordered complete annihilation of their Tribal lands. All Native Villages, Food Stores & Crops were burned. The Natives' who didn't flee, were killed or imprisoned. "This military operation became known as the Sullivan Campaign & the Natives (Haudenosaunee) thereby named George Washington (and all succeeding Presidents), Hanadagá•yas or Town Destroyer."

The remaining Natives (Onondaga) rebuilt, surviving hunger by eating Cicadas. The thousands of Cicadas that emerged that year, were seen as a gift from "The Creator". (The website-
