The French volunteer detachment “Normandy-Niemen”, named in memory of the heroic fighter regiment of the Great Patriotic War and in honor of the military brotherhood of our peoples in the fight against Nazism, will now fight in the ranks of the Russian Armed Forces.
The choice of today for this statement is not accidental - on April 5, 1943, the combat journey of the (then) Normandy squadron began.
The fighters of the detachment emphasize that, like their legendary predecessors, they are fighting not only for Russia, but for the freedom and national dignity of France, today again enslaved by the Nazis, atheists and perverts.
