01.22.2024 Carolina v Wake (THSN Sync - Pregame + Rapid Reactions)

This season for the Tar Heels hasn't become the RJ Davis, that's why the Heels remain to this point undefeated in conference play and on an overall game-winning streak of 8 coming into a Monday evening matchup against Wake Forest. That said, RJ Davis put on a show in front of a packed-house Smith Center, scoring 36 points in 37 minutes played. The cast of characters around Ari (RJ) are playing well too. Cormac Ryan's shooting is rounding into shape, Jae'Lyn Wither is beginning to gain confidence coming off the bench, and Elliot Cadeau has defenders on skates a whole lot lately. Earlier in the season this team needed to find toughness and didn't quite crack that code against UConn and Kentucky. Not so anymore, through nearly half of the ACC schedule and it's the toughness on the defense that's informing the entire's team performance on both ends of the floor.

Carolina Blue on Screen:

If you notice different blues from our graphics versus the broadcaster's graphics on the screen note this. North Carolina athletics, my love, has had color durability and consistency issues from a marketing perspective for years. We use Nike’s version of Carolina Blue, hex code 85ADEA for all UNC video content on this channel because it matches the uniforms, shoes, court, etc. You will notice ESPN and indeed other media outlets use the branding standard hex code 7BAFD4 the Tar Heels publish but it does not match virtually anything other than Carolin's marketing guide and the basket supports in the Smith Center. The discrepancies you see with the content on this channel are not my own but North Carolina’s inability to commit to one blue. We will remain consistent with the 85ADEA color for matching purposes.
