AT 8:00am ON 2-28-24 Many more Members of the AG COMMITTEE were present for the reading and vote on HB1322 (IT PASSED) It still needs to pass a FLOOR VOTE TODAY (crossover) in order to stay alive.. still, if it dies, I'm sure legislators will work hard to add it's language to other hemp bills that cross over.

On MONDAY's 8:30am hearing on HB1322 many of the AG COMMITTEE MEMBERS were not present. There was a motion to vote, but Rep Doreen Carter from the 93rd (Lithonia) stalled the vote asking for more time to fully be sure that business owners wouldn't adversely be impacted by the bill. IN ADDITION REP THOMAS majes a STELLAR point about having COMPREHENSIVE EDUCATION for COMMUNITIES about this business.
