Three British civilians were among the seven people killed in last night's attack on World Central Kitchen aid workers, the food aid charity has confirmed.

The three British nationals were killed along with Australian, Polish and Palestinian workers and a dual US-Canadian citizen.

Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has admitted an "unintentional" Israeli strike killed "innocent people" in Gaza.

Netanyahu said in a video message, "It happens in war... and we will do everything so that this thing does not happen again."

According to data from the Aid Worker Security Database, the war in Gaza has led to at least 196 aid workers being killed before last night's attack.
