Part 1 was on Catherine the Great of Russia (18thc). Great women, powerful women leaders of the past who ruled unashamed of their femininity. Here, an Introduction to Isabella (in 2 parts), woman and monarch: How she became Queen, War of Accession to the throne, conflicts regarding marrying whom she wanted, installing law and order in the country, forming one whole united country out of many individual kingdoms. In the second video, we shall deal with the Discovery of the New World - the only monarch who believed Columbus - and the thorny issues for which she's known in the English-speaking world: the Inquisition and the Expulsion of the Jews.
