(2/8/20) Nicole Malliotakis Honored with her own sandwich at Lioni’s of Brooklyn

On Saturday, February 8, 2020, Assemblywoman Nicole Malliotakis was presented with a sandwich named for her at Lioni’s Heroes in Brooklyn. It's a Cuban sandwich with Lioni's signature smoked mozzarella, roast pork, genoa salami, Virginia ham, swiss cheese, homemade basil mix, deli mustard and sliced pickles. The Cuban sandwich symbolizes Malliotakis’ Cuban heritage. Greek olive oil was added as a tribute to Nicole’s Greek half. The tagline for the sandwich is "Nicole Malliotakis: a hero that is a winner on both sides of the bridge” referencing the Verrazzano Bridge and Malliotakis representing both Staten Island and Brooklyn.
