Hardware for NASA's Europa Clipper spacecraft wasdeveloped at various institutions and facilities acrossthe U.S. and Europe, including NASA's Jet PropulsionLaboratory. That work included the scienceinstruments and other spacecraft components, suchas the propulsion module, radio frequency module, solar arrays, electronics vault, and more.

During the assembly, test, and launch operationsphase of the mission, engineers put together thespacecraft, test its various components, and prepare itfor its launch and journey to Jupiter's ice-encrustedmoon Europa.

In this episode of the Spacecraft Makers video series, spacecraft assembly, test, and launch operationsmechanical engineer Steve Barajas and sciencesystems engineer Jenny Kampmeier provide abehind-the-scenes look at the nearly completedspacecraft in the High Bay 1 clean roomn at JPL.

The propulsion module for the spacecraft was built bythe Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL)in Laurel, Maryland, with help from NASA's GoddardSpace Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland, and JPL.
