Understanding Pain: Where it Comes From and How to Treat It.

Dr. Hal Blatman is the Director of Blatman Health and Wellness Center. He has credentials in Pain Management and Board Certification in Occupational
and Environmental Medicine and Integrative Medicine and is a past president of the American Holistic Medical Association.

For several years, Dr. Blatman practiced family medicine while managing a chain of urgent care facilities. During his tenure as a general practitioner,
Dr. Blatman recognized the limited capacity of Western medicine to treat and manage chronic and myofascial pain. To learn more effective ways to treat pain, he studied with the late Janet Travell, MD, then recognized as the world’s leading expert in treating myofascial pain disorders.

In 1988, Dr. Blatman established Cincinnati’s first clinic dedicated to providing traditional and holistic pain treatment solutions in the tri-state
area. He continues to innovate and lead in pain management, offering patients comprehensive and personalized care through integrative medicine. Dr. Blatman is also ReCODE Certified for treating patients with early Alzheimer's and dementia and is certified by the Metabolic Terrain Institute of Health.

as a massage therapist, I'd ask their training, continuing education, time as massage therapist. What is their specialty? Example - some are infant massage, some - hospice, some - more spa oriented - hot rocks, etc.. I've learned a bit of today's info through continuing education after completing my education, so recently graduated are unlikely candidates for today's info / work. Hope this is helpful - Good Luck!
