The Old Mill (le vieux moulin) is an animated short film produced by Walt Disney, directed by Wilfred Jackson, and released in theaters by RKO Radio Pictures on November 5, 1937. The short won the Oscar for Best Animated Short Film in 1937. In 1994 it appeared at number 14 on the 50 Greatest Cartoons list, after receiving the votes of several personalities in animation. 1:19 According to unofficial sources, Bob Kane was inspired by the bats in the old mill to create his character Batman. Remastered and musically reissued with Vivaldi's master pieces by Rueda Books & Arts.
