Sister, mother of slain Howard County deputy assaulted at courthouse

The sister and mother of slain Howard County Deputy Carl Koontz were assaulted at the county courthouse Monday. Koontz was shot and killed in 2016 while serving a search warrant in Russiaville.  His sister, Alice, 27, and mother, Jackie, 54, were in the courthouse in connection with a paternity hearing when they were approached by Bryson Small, 36, to answer questions about the case.
