Clinton Camp was founded in 1925 as an arm of the Tri-State Holiness Association that was founded in Clinton PA in 1914 when Reverend A. M. Gibson of Ambridge, Pennsylvania began to evangelize the Clinton area and introduced the community to the doctrine of Holiness.

Through Rev Gibson's ministry George Gould and Albert L. Cain were gloriously saved and began to pray for God to give them a local holiness camp meeting. In 1925 God answered their prayers with the first camp meeting held in a 30'x50' tent on the current meeting grounds.
