Someone needs to tell Genocide Joe how ceasefires actually work.

Abstaining on a ceasefire vote at the UN Security Council and still selling Israel weapons isn't how it works Joe.
Right, so the US finally abstained on a ceasefire vote at the UN Security Council this week, this has of course been all over the news and has been hailed as a much needed triumph despite little sign of actually enforcing it, so that it actually means something. We keep getting told the Biden administration is getting more and more fed up with Netanyahu acting as he is, throwing tantrums when he doesn’t get his own way, acting like Israel are not totally dependent on the US to even exist, pretty much, shielded by the US as their precious foothold in the Middle East and that protection they think allows to get away with anything, including smack talk against their main benefactors.
That ceasefire vote though, just voted in the bare minimum, demanded aid gets in, demanded a ceasefire during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan and the release of all hostages. This was everything the US wanted, so why did they abstain in which case? Well, perhaps more recent events tell us exactly why.
Right, so somebody please tell genocide Joe how a ceasefire works please, because continuing to send more weapons to Israel after a ceasefire vote literally passes at the UN Security Council isn’t it, but then, that’s precisely why I think the US ended up abstaining on that vote, because without being enforced, and there4’s no sign of anything proactive along those lines from the UN right now, disappointingly, the US can continue arming Israel, without being labelled hypocrites over such matters. Following the UN ceasefire vote passing, Biden’s insane administration has authorised the transfer of billions of dollars worth of bombs and fighter jets to Israel and all despite those claims that they are worried about Israel going into Rafah, pleading with Netanyahu to not go into Rafah and Netanyahu resolutely stating, we’re going into Rafah. A UN ceasefire vote passes, over a million innocent people trapped in Rafah on the Gaza-Egypt border and Biden still signs off billion of dollars worth in military aid, knowing it could well be used in Rafah, he can’t not know. It’s just such utter incredulous madness, that so many lives in Rafah, over a million lives appear to be worth less than the US supporting Israel does. It just makes you want to ball your fists up in rage at all we’ve seen and still this is the position the US takes.
Some of the arms being provided includes some 1800 of the 2000lb bombs we’ve seen Israel use in civilian areas, the same sort that were linked to mass casualty events, such as the one Israel claim to have accidently dropped on the Jabalia refugee camp outside of Gaza City, so there doesn’t even seem to be much quibble in the sort of aid being sent, it’s like Israel send some sort of sordid shopping list and the US duly delivers. It was only last month the UN Office of the High Commissioner on Human Rights said all nations still supplying the apartheid regime risked being found complicit in genocide, well I guess Genocide Joe and Co figure they are above all of that.
