The Hero and Hendrik lead the defense of the Last Bastion against the Shadow Lord's forces. To everyone's happiness they succeed. The King then orders the two of them to go to the ruins of Helidor Castle and defeat the monsters there in order to stop the attacks. Hendrik has reservations about it as someone would need to lead the defenders of the Last Bastion. The former King of Helidor orders Hendrik to go anyways. To help in their mission the King gives them a key that would unlock a secret passage from the dungeons to the castle so they could sneak in around the main force of monsters.
