"This is an epic story of cosmic proportions!" Universal has revealed another full 3-minute trailer for The Fall Guy, opening at the start of May to kick off this year's summer movie season. Ryan Gosling stars as "The Fall Guy" – he's a stuntman, and like everyone else working in the stunt community, he gets blown up, shot, crashed, thrown through windows and dropped from the highest of heights, all for our entertainment. And now, fresh off an almost career-ending accident, this working-class hero has to track down a missing movie star, solve a conspiracy and try to win back the love of his life while still doing his day job. A hilarious, hard-driving, all-star apex-action thriller film + love letter to action movies and the hard-working, under-appreciated crew of people who make them. The Fall Guy also stars Emily Blunt as "The Director", with Winston Duke, Hannah Waddingham, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Teresa Palmer, Lee Majors, Ben Knight, and Stephanie Hsu. Based on early reviews and all the crazy fun footage in this (the Super Bowl spot is also good), it's going to be a big hit! At least it deserves to be. A movie about making movies but also an amusing love story with two fantastic actors making sparks fly – literally and emotionally. Strap in.

The Fall Guy Movie

Ryan Gosling is Colt Seavers, a battle-scarred stuntman who, having left the business a year earlier to focus on both his physical and mental health, is drafted back into service when the star of a mega-budget studio movie—being directed by his ex, Jody Moreno (Emily Blunt)—goes missing. While the film's ruthless producer (Hannah Waddingham), maneuvers to keep the disappearance of movie star Tom Ryder (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) a secret from the studio and the media, Colt performs the film's most outrageous stunts while trying (with limited success) to charm his way back into Jody’s good graces. But as the mystery around the missing star deepens, Colt will find himself ensnared in a sinister, criminal plot that will push him to the edge of a fall more dangerous than any stunt. The Fall Guy is directed by American stuntman / filmmaker David Leitch, director of the films John Wick, Atomic Blonde, Deadpool 2, Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, and Bullet Train previously; he also still works as a stunt coordinator & stuntman. The screenplay is written by Drew Pearce (Iron Man 3, Hobbs & Shaw, Hotel Artemis). Produced by Kelly McCormick and David Leitch for 87North, and by Ryan Gosling and Guymon Casady for Entertainment 360. Universal will open Leitch's The Fall Guy in theaters nationwide starting May 3rd, 2024. Worth a watch?

Universal dropped the trailer for its movie adaptation of the classic TV series The Fall Guy. Directed by David Leitch and written by Drew Pearce, the film stars Ryan Gosling, Emily Blunt, Winston Duke, Stephanie Hsu, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Hannah Waddingham. It will hit theaters on March 1, 2024.

In The Fall Guy, Colt Seavers (Gosling) is a seasoned stunt artist previously hailed as the industry’s best, though his career has been on the slow decline due to his age and injuries. When hired to work on the set of Jody’s (Blunt) film, things get sticky when the star of her film (Taylor-Johnson) goes missing, putting the whole film production in jeopardy. Being the heroic stuntman he is, Colt takes on the task of finding the actor, putting his life on the line to get the job done and to save his job.

The film is inspired by the 1980s series of the same name and is directed by Leitch, who is producing with partner Kelly McCormick via their 87North along with Guymon Casady, who produces through Entertainment 360.

Pearce, who worked with Leitch on Universal’s Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, wrote the script and serves as executive producer.

Gosling produces alongside Leitch, Casady and Kelly McCormick, while Geoff Shaevitz, original series creator Glen A. Larson and Cecil O’Connor serve as executive producers.
