Asslamoalaikum, sisters, brothers and friends we are going to start about Islamic caliphates | name of caliph and what was duration of his reigned.

And InshaAllah will be also discribed about biography of each with main incidents during the his reigned.

The word Caliph is the English form of the Arabic word 'Khalifah' which is short for Khalifatu Rasulillah. The latter expression means Successor to the Messenger of God, the Prophet Muhammad (May Allah Honour him and Grant him Peace). The title Khalifatu Rasulillah. was first used for Abu Bakr, who was elected head of the Muslim Community after the death of the Prophet Muhammad (May Allah Honour him and Grant him Peace) and after that calling caliph of every head of islamic states.

Abd Allah ibn al-Zubayr, the nephew of Aisha, the third wife of Muhammad, led a rebellion against the Umayyad Caliphate in 684 AD. He was proclaimed caliph in Mecca but was defeated and killed there in 692 AD after a six-month siege by general Al-Hajjaj ibn Yusuf. He Reigned from November 683 AD to November 692 AD
