9 simple exercises and stretches which can be done to relieve irritation in thumb tendons. De Quervain's Tenosynovitis techniques to Relieve Wrist & Thumb Pain. These exercises are very effective to reduce pain in short period of time as witnessed by my patients. These exercises can be done by people of all age group.

De quervain's tenosynovitis is caused due to repetitive twisting or grasping motion of the thumb and wrist. These pains are caused by overuse, repetitive use of thumb while typing, lifting or grasping motions of the thumb and wrist which hinders performance of daily activities. It is most common in teenagers using their phones, texting more frequently, moms and dads with new born kids. Also common in groups playing video games, Xbox etc. The common symptoms are thumb irritation, swelling, redness, reduced grip strength, weakness in wrist and thumb muscles.

These exercises does not require any equipment. These exercises will also help to strengthen the muscles of shoulder and shoulder blades. These exercises are recommended to be done twice a day.
