Indian Navy Intercepts Hijacked Iranian Vessel, 23 Pakistani Nationals Rescued

Indian Navy Intercepted the hijacked Iranian Vessel "Al Kambar 786" near the Gulf of Aden. The naval forces rescued 23 Pakistani nationals aboard the vessel. The Indian Navy said that nine pirates aboard the vessel were forced to surrender after "12 hours of tactical measures". The navy received the inputs of a potential pirate incident on March 28 evening and responded by diverting two ships deployed in the Arabian Sea for maritime security. Indian Navy has amped up vigilance as piracy resurfaced amidst Houthi attacks on commercial shipments in the Red Sea. Earlier, the Indian Navy Chief vowed to take "affirmative actions" to ensure security.
