After Tiktok, Americans Flock to China's Instagram-like App | Vantage with Palki Sharma
Popular social media platforms like Instagram are blocked in China. So Chinese tech companies created their own versions of all these apps. Once such app that is gaining popularity is "Xiaohongshu" or the Little Red Book. Similar to Instagram, users on Xiaohongshu can share short videos and photos, shop for popular products, and connect with other users. It has over 300 million monthly users and a valuation of US $20 billion. But Americans are now drawn to this app because of the blunt advice they get on it. So, after Tiktok, will another Chinese app disrupt the United States? Should Washington be wary? Palki Sharma tells you.
