Role Model Podcast - Battle Scarred Motorsports - Daniel Johnson

Daniel Johnson started racing Go-Karts with his dad when he was just a kid, joined the Marine Corps after 9/11. Was deployed to Operation Iraqi Freedom - 1 in 2003 with Charlie Company, 1st Bn 2nd Marines as an 0311 (Grunt) with multiple deployments over a 4 year period. After discharge, Daniel got out of the Marine Corps and went back to racing to cope with the challenges of Post Traumatic Stress, this time racing with his son. As the General Manager and the Louisiana Chapter President of an organization called "Battle Scarred Motorsports", helping other veterans is the focus of effort.
Battle Scarred Motorsports helps veterans with "Adrenaline Therapy" by bringing them back into a team and giving them missions around racing. Daniel has great wisdom to share about getting out of the military, parenting, and being a part of a team on a mission.

Interview Host, Sean Fairburn, also a Marine Corps combat veteran of operation Desert Storm and OIF-1, understands fully, the challenges and benefits of combat. A husband, father of 5, in love with God, and Santa Claus, Fairburn finds great benefit in conversations just like this,
guiding the discussion in a way only another combat vet can do.
