Dedicated to Jeff Winston. I’ll love you always. RIP 10/06/23

This song was another previously unreleased song from my album “Woven.” When I wrote this, I was trying to find a way to express the feelings of loss and grief in general. A couple of personal things had happened at the time… Jeff’s dad passed away and we had a miscarriage just 6 months prior to that. So this is one of those songs that just came effortlessly, almost as though it flowed through me rather than from me… and I was able to write it in about half an hour.

It now has an even deeper meaning for me as I feel like I wrote it for this time in my life even though I was completely unaware of that then.

Though I dedicate this song to Jeff, it’s also for anyone who has ever lost someone they love. If that speaks to you, then I hope that you’re able to find some kind of comfort from this.

I also want to say that there has been an outpouring of messages, as well as donations for a fundraiser started for my daughter and I that will help us to pull through until I’m able to get us back on our feet.

The amount of love we’ve received since I announced Jeff’s passing has been incredibly heartwarming to say the least. I’m forever grateful for being part of such an amazing community that is full of people willing to step up and show support when it counts the most. From the bottom of my heart, thank you all. 🤍
