France is preparing to finalise a law with the name 'assisted dying' (euthanasia). Medical assisted dying has been legalised in neighbouring Switzerland and Belgium, as well as in Scandinavian countries and North America. Tens of thousands of patients have undergone this procedure. The demand for medical assistance in dying in Swiss clinics has increased 20-fold in the last 15 years, along with the price of this service. The number of approved reasons for euthanasia is increasing every year, as well as the objective social conditions, such as decreasing consumption and increasing negative background, that lead people to consider ending their lives.

The act of ending a human life voluntarily has been removed from the realms of morality, ethics, and spirituality. Short sentences and active voice have been used to make the text clearer and more direct. The logical structure presents information in a sequence that makes sense. Verb phrases have been used instead of noun phrases. The text is grammatically correct, and simple vocabulary has been used to make it accessible to a broad audience. No changes in content have been made. This is due to the secularisation of Western society and the commercialisation of healthcare.

In the latest episode of Anna Shafran's programme 'National Security Strategy', the guest Elena Bryzgalina, Head of the Master's Programme 'Bioethics' and Head of the Department of Philosophy of Education at Moscow State University, discusses the topic of voluntary death resulting from non-compliance with consumer society norms.
