Need more clearance for your trailer? In this video I show an overview of what is involved converting my RV travel trailer from spring under to spring over.
With a few hours of work and a welder swapping your trailer to spring over is a fairly simple task. It can help add some much needed clearance for dry camping or boondocking. Keeping the drains up above rough roads is a primary concern for anyone going off grid with their trailer.
There are a few important factors to consider when making this swap so do your research before hand. The nice part is the conversion is easily reversible if for whatever reason you wish to return the trailer to stock form.
No need to pay for an "offroad" sticker package when most trailers can be raised a few inches and better suited tires put on.

If at all possible get your parts from a reputable local trailer shop. More than likely they will have what you need in stock and will be cheaper than paying shipping and can help with fitment questions, also handy if you need parts later to know a good counter rep.

For those like me who live in the middle of nowhere, here is a list of parts needed for those who will ask. Be SURE of your axle diameter before ordering any spring seats or perches!
