Is GA Passing A Gambling Bill During Holy Week?

The last day of the GA legislative session. Anything can happen. If LT Gov Burt Jones and Jon Burns speaker of the house have a deal for it to happen it will happen.
It will be really sad if the GA legislature passes the gambling bill on Holy Week. Gambling preys on the poor and on minority communities. Gambling creates mental health problems in gambling addicts, their children and their families. Gambling increases citizens’ dependence on welfare and Medicaid.
If GA is the number 1 place to do business and if we have an enormous surplus… are we looking for gambling to fund pre-K?
