Children's Bible Stories-Don't Clown Around!

Clowns, like Slappy and Widget, were first used in 1560 to describe rustic, clumsy people or peasants. The word "Christian" was first used in Acts chapter 26, verse 28, where Agrippa persuaded Paul to be a Christian. Clowns International is a group for clowns, and Romans chapter 12, verse 5, states that we are one body in Christ. A merry heart makes a cheerful countenance, but sorrow can break the spirit. A clown is a performance artist, while a jester is an entertainer who makes a fool of the audience. Christians should honor all men, love the brotherhood, fear God, and honor the king.
