UN Official Levels Genocide Charge at Israel Over Gaza Offensive Amid Deadly Airstrikes

Francesca Albanese, the UN special rapporteur on human rights in the occupied Palestinian territories, told the UN Human Rights Council on Tuesday that there were "reasonable grounds" to conclude the "threshold indicating the commission of the crime of genocide has been met" by Israel's actions in Gaza. Meanwhile, Israeli airstrikes on Rafah City in southern Gaza Tuesday killed 76 Palestinians and maimed dozens.
