A man accused of fatally shoving a NYC subway rider has a long record. Carlton McPherson, 24, from the Bronx, had a warrant for his arrest in a Brooklyn assault case when he allegedly pushed a 54-year-old man onto subway tracks at East 125th Street and Lexington Avenue station. He was previously arrested in January for spitting on a woman on an L train, and in November for jumping a turnstile at a Brooklyn subway station. In another incident on Halloween, he allegedly assaulted a man with a cane after the victim tried to calm him down. Initially released without bail, he violated the terms of his release, leading to a bench warrant. During a January court appearance, he was ordered held on $1,000 cash bail and $2,000 bond, which he apparently posted.
