Replacement Schindler Traction Elevators - The Addison (Charlotte, NC)

While the debate about these being "700A's" or not still rolls on to this very day, from the Wayback Machine, these Schindler Tractions were not called "700A's" at all. They were dubbed as "Miconic Controls", which is an odd (and dumb) name for an elevator model.

While the building was built in 1926 as an apartment building, it was turned into an office building in the 1990's. The overhaul started in 1996, which also included the installation of this set of 2 elevators. These may have replaced something good, but I'm not sure what.

These run pretty well and quite fast. The VMI replacements suck though.
